Ladies of the Bath

“Ladies of the Bath is a meditative immersive experience that highlights the importance of self-care and maintaining the things that are important to you. This exhibition features paintings, collage, a soundscape, and an installation nature scene that encourages relaxation and reflection. Ladies of the Bath is inspired by my personal experiences and by my research on how women respond to trauma. Exploring the role women play in times of crisis I was drawn to make work about the importance of self-care and spirituality.

Self care, an adopted belief system, and maintaining their traditions in hard times is ultimately what allows these women to persevere.Their goddess, a symbol used throughout Ladies of the Bath, is a religious figure of strength and hope that provides these women with the ability to reach a higher self. Their belief system and their focus on self-care allow the ladies to be in control of maintaining and evolving their own sense of self.”
